Here's a shot of the ISS passing Mars, Venus, and Orion at dawn this morning. The sun was only 11 degrees below the horizon which made long exposures difficult, so instead I've taken a series of 6 sec exposures and stacked them.
There's also a longer exposure taken about 20 minutes earlier when the sky was darker, showing the Pleiades and Hyades clearly. Venus will pass through the Hyades on Monday morning.
Cheers,
Stephen

I like that long exposure Stephen. What lens were you using?

Thanks Paul.
The lens is just a basic Sigma 18-50 (f/3.5-5.6) that came with the camera. It's not great, but does the job at the moment.

Stephen

Hi Stephen
Another couple of great shots, I really enjoy these - well done! I wake up most mornings now and as the tea brews and I boot the computer, I wonder… what solar system dynamics are going to be revealed today by your lens!
Cheers

Thanks David, Ric and Dennis!
For those in Brisbane, the ISS will pass between Mars and Venus at 5:00 am tomorrow morning (Monday 12th) - should be another nice photo opportunity!
Cheers,
Stephen
