View Full Version here: : Jupiter July 9
Hi All,
Conditions last night were very poor for most of the night, with low cloud and a persistent jetstream. The conditions improved enough for this image at around 1:30am local time, but not long after the clouds moved in for good.

WoW!! Nice work!! I gave up around 11pm in Sydney, clouds looked like they were setting in.
I'll give it another crack tonight though.

Very nice image Anthony, considering the conditions.
Very detailed, I really love just how crisp the limb is and the GRS looks great.
It really is a shame about the seeing as this is so close to being an absolute cracker of an image.
Very well done.
Regards
Trevor
Thanks for the comments. Trevor, I'm also looking at some Saturn data from night before last, not sure if it can be salvaged but maybe I'll have a go at processing it if tonight is clouded out (looks likely).
Hotspur, you can see some more of my images on the website:

Yep you can see the jet interference. Nicely processed image though and I am sure in August your seeing run will really commence like it usually does. Nothing happening here though. Cloud for days and seeing is really aweful at present. Time to sit back and wait.
Edit: Added another processed image to the OP.
cheers, Bird

Nice going Anthony - one of the nice areas of Jove to capture even in average seeing
