Not sure what has done the most damage, APOD or Digg. I suspect that latter. The image made the front page of Digg.com for a few hours which was fine, but it didn't help that someone found the high res version on the site and posted the link on Digg. Ouch! My web hosting provider bandwidth allocation for the month (10Gb) is now at 79% of quota. Oh well the ride was fun while it lasted. The warpath continues...

Yes, I expect this to be resolved over the weekend.

The bandwidth allocation has hit its maximum. Many viewed/downloaded the large resolution version which is 6Mb in size. It has simply pushed the limits. I knew I'd get a few hits, but 14,300 in two days I did not prepare for. APOD itself wasn't the problem, it was Digg along with three other foreign forums the image was posted on by someone. When I checked this morning, the stats were still going through the roof. For now, you'll just have to wait until things come back online.

Jen, no, I didn't go the Hampton park primary.
