View Full Version here: : Church of the Good Shepherd
I posted another image of this subject a few weeks ago...but in black and white, which perhaps didn't do the scene justice?
Anyway...here's another but this time in colour.
Again, I dedicate this to Humayun...who tempted me into taking the obligatory shot of the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo.
The fact that every man and his sheepdog takes this sort of pic whilst travelling around the Sth Island doesn't detract from its beauty!

Matt,
Aww, gee, thanks. :)
I'm a sucker for saturated shots and this one fits the bill.
This was taken at sunrise, was it not? Lovely work.
Regards,
Humayun
Thanks H!:)
This was taken at sunset, actually...so a similar quality in the light with the low sun angle and softer light.
Believe it or not, I actually backed the saturation off a little in CS3.
The circular polariser really boosts things up!

Sunrise is warmer than Sunset (atmosphere has been warmed up for longer by the sun's light), so it's easy to spot the difference between sunrise and sunset shots (sunrise is slightly bluer).
Nice lighting.
Dave
So there you go, H. You should have been able to tell just by looking:P:lol:
By the way, if sunrise is slightly bluer...wouldn't that make it by definition 'cooler'...not warmer?

I was a little confused by the orientation, hence asking in the first place.
I couldn't remember which bit is the front and which bit is the back -- the addition of the snow on the mountains in the rear didn't help matters, either. :)
All makes sense now. :)
Regards,
Humayun

grr @ my goddamn typos, sorry replied to this yesterday during a migraine...I meant sunset is warmer than sunrise. I shouldn't have gotten out of bed yesterday...
