My work is having our annual all company conference, and is flying the whole company up to the Sunshine Coast tomorrow!

Staying at a lovely hotel/resort for 3 nights!

I was hoping QLD would put on some better weather than is predicted.. Thanks very much! :(

Should be a great few days anyway, when we're not stuck in a conference room listening to presentations :)

Welcome to the neighbourhood:hi:

You'll only be about an hour away from where I am. Would be great to catch up...but you've probably not got much 'free' time?

Enjoy your visit.

Well it is supposed to be a work conference, not a lazing around in the Winter sun frolic.

We should get a few of us together and drag you out for a coffee if you have a spare hour or so.

Just say the word, Mike... any session you'd like to skip, I'm sure an abduction could be arranged!;) I hear 1ponders has a perfect hide-out!

...of course, you would "escape" later, miraculously unharmed:D, blame it on aliens and publicise IIS in the tabloids...... and it's IYA too!

I think my only "free" time is Wednesday night and Saturday morning before I fly out Saturday arvo.

They have nice big expensive gala dinners on Thu and Fri evenings :)

I'm working Wednesday night and all day Saturday.
But the others might be able to organise something. Be a shame to have you come all this way and miss out on catching up with a few IISers.

Did you say you wanted sunshine Mike? Maybe you should sneak a little further North to Emerald where we now are.
Sunny and a balmy 21C at present.

Jeez, all right for some!

Wait a sec, my company is flying me to China in time for the Jul 22 Solar Eclipse! What am I saying!?!?!

Enjoy the junket Mike. Got any "travelling" scopes or are you going "sans glass"? :)

Cheers

Chris

Well so much for the "Sunshine" coast :)

Windy, rainy and certainly no sun to be seen.

Staying at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Coolum - wow what a resort.

Doesn't look like I'll get time to get out and meet anyone unfortunately - they've pretty much filled our agenda. When it's not "work" stuff, they've arranged dinners, drinks and golf.

Hopefully the weather clears up a bit, I wouldn't mind going for a walk around this beautiful place at sunrise. I guess it depends if I can drag myself out of bed!

Off to cocktail party dinner and drinks now!

My brother in law used to live virtually opposite the entrance to the resort. His Swedish wife Anika worked there, giving Swedish Massages.;):)

Enjoy your stay.
