Been into photography most of my life, still learning all the time.

I thought you might like to see some of what I do when the clouds and daylight don't allow for astronomy. There are two galleries, you can access the second one by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

Wonderful gallery Paul - just some advice that I've received from bird photographers - remember to have enough DOF to keep both the eye and beak in focus. Wonderful colours and composition, you have a nice eye for things. Lighting is really nice as well.

I'd love a D3, Canon's Mark IIn and latter offerings are crap by comparison.

Something to be truly proud of Paul .. Wonderful selection of well chosen subjects. I dont know how much time you spend on these in photoshop, but whatever it is .. its worth it. Thanks for sharing those gems !!!

Thanks all,

Jeff to be honest good frames come from excellent equipment and seeing an image before you shoot it. I spend little if any time in Photoshop; some sharpening, levels work and maybe curves. I do of course shoot lots of frames to get that one shot I like. For every image I like there is usually 50 that are what I consider garbage.

Thanks once again for your comments.

Paul,

I checked out your gallery the other day, I'm pretty sure, and have also seen your stuff on dA.

As the others have said, you've got a great eye for composition. I also agree with trying to get away with as minimal processing as possible in post. Get it right the first time in camera and life's a breeze! :)

Humayun
