Hi, Please could someone let me know if there is a proper setting for Astro photography, what i mean by that is, is there a Permanent setting that you put in the camera for night time Astronomy...Thanks...Lloydysun..:he lp:

Lloyd - there is no such thing really. Different conditions and targets demand different settings. Did you take a copy of base settings that I gave to Ned? If you're going to the public night at the domes tonight we can go though the basics if you like... :)

AF off

the only time I adjust my ISO is when shooting the Moon

M-mode
RAW
ISO800
ICNR off
Daylight WB
Flash Off
AF off

Hmmmm, personally for me. :whistle:

Bulb-Mode
Raw
ISO 400, no more
ICNR on
AWB
5D's don't have flashes, so nothing here
AF, is automatically off on Bulb
TC-80N3 Remote, for long exposures.

Sorry Leon with the Canon forget what I said about AF-off with the 350d M- is the bulb mode

Don't be sorry mate, ;) we all do it different, I'm probably the only one of many that uses ICNR at all. :shrug:
