Check out today's APOD:

Interesting to see storms on Saturn, similar to what we see on Jupiter. I remember an image from amateur astrophotographer Wesley Higgins, who actually captured one of those type of storms from Earth!

Yeah, it's pretty cool... APOD is always one of my first hits of the day... After IIS of course!! :D
Hey Mike,
How about putting a link to the current APOD in the sidebar of IIS? Perhaps a thumbnail of the current image (if this is possible??)...
That way you'd make IIS truely my one-stop-shop for asto hits during my morning coffee/s... :drink:
Cheers

Yeah, I remember that image Mike, it is located in the user gallery on CN's
Pity the storms are not very visible from Earth, this would make Saturn the most sought after target for imaging. Only the likes of Wes can capture it.
Still it is very reminiscent of Jupiter and I await his return to the night sky for the coming opposition.
got the GGS there (great grey spot) :P
cant wait for saturn to become a night time object again :D
