Every now and then someone puts something on YouTube that makes it all worth while.

I'm nervous just watching it. :scared:

You'd catch some nice thermals with that I imagine :)

Heck the wingspan is 7m - my paraglider isn't that much bigger !

Lovely model, but its a bit too fast for enjoyable flying - it will fly out of sight pretty quickly.

Yeah, they're not too bad, but at 20kg it's preferred territory is on the slope catching updrafts.

We don't have big hills here, so we need to fly stuff that's a little more thermally but still range well (zoom around).

That's great.
I am presently learning to fly a helicopter indoors. It is a Twister Bell Medevac with counter rotating blades .
Quite a learning curve getting the hang of it.

Used to make model planes when a youngan. Sometimes get an itch to get back into it again, but don't think swmbo would be too impressed given the current situation with astronomy mistress ;)

Very cool indeed. I'm amazed with the skills of the guys who's fliming though. Just to keep everything in focus and reasonably within frame is quite a challenge on itself.
