We would have liked to collect more data on this one but because of its positioning at this time of the year we only had a small window before it sank into the south western skyglow.

We will have to revisit later in the year we want to get at least another 2hrs of data.

Details

Canon 40D unmodded
Celestron C9.25 at 1485 fl

Total exposure only 96mins
8min exposures ISO800

Wow, that's a sweet looking image Barb and David. I like the composition you've portrayed here. The image has an appealing balanced feel to it. Well resolved stars with pleasing colours. Lovely work. Well done.

Lovely Guys. Maybe more is better but this one is no slouche. The detail is good and the contrast in the nebula is also very good. Looks like we will have to wait till next year to see more data added.

Thanks Jase thought we would try to compose something a little different this time

yes lovely composition, as noted elsewhere the stars have a lovely natural look to them, retaining that hint of color and not crunchy at the edges, and not totally burnt out and white.....i hope that other imagers will take notice and do the same with theirs.

cheers clive

Thanks Doug yes back to this again next year

I've been spending more time in my processing routine trying to improve the stars and I hoped they looked better.

Thanks for noticing Clive
