Down the beach this morning to capture Venus and Mars, and whatever else caught my eye.

Vega was relected into the damp sand .... looking good
Venus and Mars still close together
... and with Pleiades and Hyades
... and a ghostly me with some of our northern star groups. :):)

Lovely images there Liz,

I love the silhouette's of the palms with the water in the background, such a tropical feel, I am jealous.

Really like the image you have marked the more northern constellations on, very well presented and most effective.

Trevor

Oooh thats spooky Liz, that last one!

You didnt label the "crescent phase floating head" asterism on the pic though....

Nice shots, very envious of the field of view you have, especially with M31 SO HIGH in the sky.

Cheers

Chris

Thank you jjj, Trevor, Chris, Adam and Duncan for kind comments. :)

Yes Duncan, must be so strange for these constellations to all in different positions. I always feel lost when in the Northern Hemisphere.

Yes Chris .. it is great have M31 in a position that yields some spectacular views :)

That last pic was fun, though was difficult trying to label unfamiliar constellation like Lacerta and Cassiopeia
