I sure have Peter.
I have just started a new thread about what the weather is driving me to do. see: ( down to the Old VHS movies) ... under general chat.
Nothing is drying after being washed, and I am sick of getting the local papers that are just one wet mass that cant be opened.
I am over the wheel ruts left in front of the letter box now, cause if they get any deeper, the postman will fall into the hole with his bike and dissappear.....problem solved.
We havent had bad floods like you folks but we have had local flash floods that cause minor havoc on the roads and the wet weather seems to bring all the "boof heads" out in their fast cars so they can do wheel spins and doughnuts in out street ....
Just afew Stars would be nice....:(:(:(:(
See ya Mozzie.

Guess what? Just read in the Herald that they are lifting the water restrictions in Sydney.
They reckon its just so people don't complain about the cost of the desalination plant next time there's a drought.
I reckon its because there's been a hell of a lot of rain. I have not imaged since ANZAC day. That's 2 months. They also say it is going to rain in Sydney for the rest of the week. (it is pouring at the moment)
I also understand that the stars aren't going anywhere. Well, not without me anyway.

yeah I just drove over to byron and back and reckon 100 mm fell in that hour .. 30 kmh and couldn't see the lines on the road.
The ag dept issued a warning ( about 200mm ago ) for our industry that conditions are similar to 1974 and to expect major cropping failures.
And still it rains :(.. I'd pick the north with the monsoons over here
at least at some point during the year you know its not going to rain.
must check the rainfall to date this year bet its lots

1605 mm since mid january.. prolly more closer to the coast...
including weekends.. must be close to recording rainfall on close to 90 days.. some of those days it didn't rain it was likely about to .
I think I have had my scope out most every clear run we have lucked this year .. and there have been a few .. but its still pretty dismal.
Hope some of you guys who really need some water get some soon:thumbsup:

I know we all love all the rain but for me the fuel on the ground is building like never before in my time up North and so after the flood season I am sure we will get back to bushfires but next time they will be massive..up my place the new trees make it hard to get thru the bush and ground cover is very worrying... I dont feel astronomy is a hobby anymore because I rarely get a go even if it clears there is so much moisture everything is a pain... I got my new camera er last year..maybe used it 10 times on astronomy objects ...
