View Full Version here: : 90mins in the Lagoon
18 x 5min frames from the 450D on the 8".
Taken last week, so the moon was coming up and put an end to any more subs. I've found this surprisingly difficult to "develop", but learning lots along the way which has to be good. Hoping to spend more time at it, but putting it up as best I can currently do.
(Hmm, looks like I could have picked a more original thread title - its raining Lagoons...!)
EDIT: Rebalanced version included now too (see comments below). All subs ISO 400

Looking good Rob. In photoshop go to the histogram and click on the arrow with 3 bars next to it, to the right of the screen and switch to all channel view. It will then show histograms for all 3 colours and you'll see that RGB aren't aligned. I use either levels or curves to correct this but I select the colour I want to move from the drop down list at the top of either dialog :)

I don't think you can show it in older versions of PS, like PS7.

Hi Rob, great focus and guiding. I have had a tweak with the levels and so forth. Hope you don't mind the meddling with a beautiful image but I use every opportunity I can to get more experience manipulating these things and couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a go at such a good shot as yours.
Peter
Cheers Alex, Alan, Matty - glad you enjoyed.
Yeah - you're right Robin - I've rebalanced and attached original and balanced below. Being an unmodded 450 I've cheated a bit and tweaked out a lot of the blue in the middle and thought that might have excused an imbalance - but, NAHH....it was just sloppy really after all the work to get this far.
Peter - you're more than welcome to have a go. Hope you have as much fun as I did getting to know this one a lot better.
I had hoped to try some deconvolution on the brighter bits, but that's still got me bamboozled - realised I'd never be finished if I just didn't get on with it and make some decisions here and there...
I couldn't believe how great your 6min shot came out Alan!:eyepop: Fantastic work.
