In my last thead for images i said the following



well i have added more data to it and given it a tweak in photoshop, i was going to stay offline for a while, but someone replied to an ad i thought i had removed so will hang around til its sorted. so now is an oportune time to update the image.

i have also added the pic from the previous post so you can see the difference.

I've been waiting since March for the weather to cooperate and let me add data to my one.
That's why I haven't posted it yet but would like to share it here just to show how nice your's has come up with the lovely colours.
(Hope you don't mind me posting here, let me know and I'll remove it).

Looking sensational Clive.. Incredible improvement on the previously posted image... the nebulosity is really starting to show a lot of good colour, the dust is looking great too....

I bet you're decision to move to a shorter focal length telescope is sitting very nicely with you now...

thanks for giving the prepost image a peruse barb n dave , its nice to have a good eye check it out before it hits the public, just to make sure its up to scratch.


leave it there Andrew its a good shot, plus it gives a wider view of the area , hope you get the extra data to fill it in it took me 14 hrs 20min to get the detail in mine.
the reflection neb in the top right looks inviting... if only i had the time.
i will have to wait til it rolls around next year for that one, but it does look inviting. have added your pic to my collection on the hard drive, i look forward to the updated version.




it sits just right alex , i dont particularly envy the long focal length imagers as its a tough gig. even though done well it produces stunning results.

What can you say about these images.... MAGNIFICENT......... Looks like you were wasted with the big reflector Clive. Always nice trying something new and in this case you have done it in style.

Stunning image there.
I found myself looking at it for ages.

I also found a small line in there near the dark part of the Neb on the left hand side of the image.
What is that? Is it an Asteroid ?

It looks like it is moving too slow for a satellite.

thanks doug , next months image will be Corona Australis, ive already got 5hrs data on it so far.

now that youre gonig 20 min subs, i hope you are shooting it with about a 50 gain not at 0..... it works just fine at that setting

well noticed i asked the guys in the solar system forum and Peter M of brisbane helped me out
Hi again Clive,
Just double checked with The Sky 6 and it is 5650 Mochihito-o.
If you are running any of the good planetarium programmes like The Sky etc you can download the current minor planet database of around 330,000 known minor planets and just reset the date and the time in your planetarium programme - if it is known then you will have it,

this object is close to the ecliptic so asteroids will drop in from time to time, there is at least one other in there, once i have all the data i will clone them out.



i have 2hrs more subs, but havent checked them for quality, i hope to add a couple more hours yet and give it the final process, will take a while to mull over the finished product.
