Hi All, :)

Announced on ABC radio news this morning. Manned mission to the moon by 2020. The earlier missions were performed mainly for political reasons.
This time it will be to gather scientific data. That is basically all that was mentioned.:)

Hope to see it.

Cheers Marty

It would be great to see us go back to the Moon again with our current technology, and the future technology that may develope during this effort.
I for one would love to see us get back there again.

This time, to avoid the old conpiracy theories that the 1969 landing did not occur, something should be left up there to prove that humans landed, eg gouging out in the surface of the moon some shape that can be seen from earth in a modest sized telescope, binos or even naked eye. The shape and form could be left to the imagination and would be a nice little forum subject. Bright lights to shine on lunar nights when pointed at earth using stored solar energy would be an interesting idea. Personally, I would love something politically incorrect. The whingers would have to go up to the moon themselves to change it.....personally:D. The space race would really hot up for the bragging rights of being there officially first/second. And just think of the advertising - basically everyone on earth would see the ads and would go out of their way to look for them. Giant coke ad at Kings Cross - eat your heart out .Or perhaps giant Maccas arches . The possibilities are endless.

That's going to need transport of a LOT of BIG machinery to form visible shapes on the surface of the moon, even to be visible by scopes.....

Check out this site. Something was left on the moon that could be seen from earth.
