Simply Stunning image Bird,
Beautifully resolved, sharp as, a text book image.
The seeing has been brilliant the last two nights and looks like it will continue through to the weekend.

One of the best I have seen! Like the way the crests fade - very sharp

Great work Anthony, gald to pass on the seeing, but it was not that good for me to begin with. I am sure it improved by the time it got to you. Well done.

Hi Anthony
Gosh – I cannot recollect ever having seen a better Jupiter! The detail, tones and colours are simply exquisite and the processing really does justice to the data. A really excellent capture – well done!

Stunning Bird, I can't remember any other one of your images this crisp. Can't wait to see what you'll do with the 16"..
Love to come back out to Murrumbateman one night to have a look.
Hey Mark, no problem. The tricky part is predicting the seeing at the moment - it's a bummer to come out this way and then get bad seeing.

That is a fantastic image, so clear!:)
I know I dont post much , unforunately dont get out much either, But that is one awesome Jupiter , well done sir .
WOW that image does it for me can’t wait for the 16" to arrive.
Have you done any more testing with the bintel barlow 5x?
:eyepop:
Troy, sadly the optical quality of the bintel barlow wasn't up to the job, not really a surprise given its price... The potential payoff was a 3-element barlow instead of my 4-element powermate, and also the bintel 5x barlow was physically a bit shorter which was nice, but the only thing letting it down was the optics :-(
I'm still on the lookout for a 3-element 5x barlow but they seem hard to find.
cheers, Bird
