Situated in Scorpius
Only 3 frames totalling 11 minutes in total captured between clouds and eventually clouded in ruining my night. 1 frame corrupted so image cropped down even so I thought I'd post as a nice group of stars.
Oh well such is life, it was clear when I first set up.
This region needs a lot more data to bring out the nebula around these stars at least 5-10 minute subs I'll try again using the reducer next time.
Rho Ophiuchi (at the center) is a triple star located at the southern end of the constellation Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer. It is embedded in a large blue reflection nebulosity designated IC 4604, which is mixed with several filaments of dark nebulae. It is part of the large Rho Ophiuchi/Antares nebula complex, one of the most colorful regions in the sky.
GSO 8" RC/ Canon 350d prime focus 3 frames 1 X 2.5m, 1 X 3m and 1 X 5.5m stacked DSS processed PS7
