Hello all,

while the weather here in Miami has not been cooperating, New Mexico offered us some good nights.
Here's NGC6888 in Narrowband.

Credits: Lightbuckets Telescope Rentals
Data Acquisition: Jim Wood, Jose Bellas and Emanuele Colognato
Post Processing: Emanuele Colognato

Mapped as follow: Ha:OIII:OIII for 60:60:60 for a total of 2 hours.

24" RCOS
RCOS Fork mount
Apogee U42
Res. 0.58 arcsec/pixel

In this image I wanted to focus on the OIII data, showing how it engulfs the Crescent.
Thank you for looking and always welcome suggestions, ideas and constructive criticism.

Super image Emanuele, that 24" sucks in plenty of photons by the looks of it.

Wow, that's a pretty cool shot. I guess some of us can only dream of using a 24" RCOS...

Great result there Emanuele. Havent seen many images of this subject, and I suspect Ive just seen one of the top contenders. Lots to look at in that nebula.

Wonderful image Emanuele. How long was each sub for the Apogee?

Mike, Dave, Jeff, Ron and Craig,

thank you :) Glad you all like it!

Craig: subs were 5 minutes, and got pretty strong blooming on the 4 stars!

Lovely image, so much detail and the processing is generally good, although there is the odd dark blotches on the outside of the nebula. I am guessing this is the flat that is the cause. Great image all the same and a rare example of narrow band that I really like.

Mark, Chris, Doug, Frank, Paul and Barb and David,
thank you very, very much! You guys are great!

Paul: I am not sure I can see the blotch you are referring to? Where do you see it in the picture?
