Hi,

I thought I would have a go at this last night. Shot through W/O Flt 110 with Canon 400d unmod, ISO 800. 12 x 10 Min L, 6 x 10 Min D, 21 Flat frames and 21 Bias frames guided with PHD, stacked DSS and processed (to the best of my ability) in Photoshop CS3.

I do not know how to enhance the colour of the galaxy like the great previous shot of this in this thread.

All advice welcome.

Mark

"like the great previous shot of this in this thread" ????, do you mean Scotts?. Well I think you get a bit more tail than Scott (well, umm, that could be a whole new post, would like to know the trick RIGHT there if so :P, assuming Scott has repeatable talents in that area of course :D)

Colour is a bit lacking, datas there, thats a puzzle, did you do LRGB?, that can affect colour saturation.

Yes Fred I was talking about Scott's image. I know I should have the data there but maximising it is my challenge. I have my Canon set on adobe RGB but no individual colour shots and then stacking them. It started at 13c and by the end of the shoot had dropped to 10.5 when I took the six darks. I still heve a lot of noise in my boosted image that I try to cover up using the features in photoshop unsharped mask, reduce noise and then Gausian blurr. Still a lot to learn.

Thanks for the comments

a slight push to the saturation could help... I found DSLR images that I took always needed a little push in saturation to get the colours looking vibrant...

Very nice image in any case, I really want to have a shot at this one soon!

Well done!
