Hi all,

Here is tonight's ISS pass over Brisbane just after 6pm. Predicted mag was -1.5.

This is 2x15 second exposures combined in PS7. I decided to try shorter exposures and stacking, but only got 2 shots while the ISS was in the field of view. Would have preferred 3, but never mind.

I was hoping for the chance of a double pass with Endeavor and the ISS tomorrow evening, but the launch has been delayed.

Cheers,
Stephen

Looking good there Stephen,

Isn't it great to have some clear sky to get out there capture some photons, the Cross came up quite well even with such short exposures.

Well done

Nice capture Stephen. :)

I haven't seen a ISS transit in a while. I must make an effort to view one soon.

Well done.

Very nice image of the ISS transit of Eta Carina. I recall being in Fiji some years ago as my first views of the southern skies. There are much more colored stars in that one region than all of the northern skies.

I stayed for a month at a time for three trips to Fiji 2003 ~ 2004. On the final trip I took a new 10" Dobsonain. I was enthralled to see Omega Centari; I believe it is near the region of this photo you took?

*PS: I just posted some recent large pastel sketches here in the Solar System Forum that I have been producing of the moon lately. The IIS AAA site is very nicely laid out. Although I cannot see the option to put up a profile image? I trust someone will fill me in on that soon.

best regards,

Yes, Omega Centauri is certainly a spectacular sight! It is in this area, but didn't quite make it into this particular image. It would be just off the top left-hand corner I think.

Stephen
