Hi all
There's deeper images around but this is the deepest Ive ever managed of this area especially considering it was from light polluted Newcastle. Taken with the 6 inch f3.6 SN. 10 x 10 mins ISO200. No filters used at all. MPCC coma corrector, modded 350D. Ambient temp. 8 degrees.

Its the first time Ive clearly got both "tails"

Nice image and yes they have tails. Little blighters are hard to image well at reasonable focal lengths.

Thanks all. Gee I dont know why Meade stopped making the 6 inch "Cometrackers" It only has plate glass optics, not very accurate at that, yet with the MPCC coma is much better. I think if they cost a bit more but had 10/th wave optics and AR coated corrector plate, and a good sturdy low profile focuser they would be almost the equal of those horrendiously expensive ASA fast newtonian astrographs, but at a fraction of the cost. The fact the optics are sealed means no air currents to worry about either :)

A wonderful capture Scott, the Antenna galaxies look fantastic with their tails fanning out.

Top work Scott, given the FL. A higher res link would been nice in this case, bit pixelated on zooming. I dont know what Doug means by a "reasonable" FL, thats subjective, under 2m is marginal IMO :D, but your image is very nice .

Great shot Scott.

I love the way you can shoot of an image of some faint or obscure thing just about any time you want and from Newcastle - the coal capital of the World :eyepop:

Nice one Scott,
Plenty of faint fuzzies in the background as well.
Well done.
