This image of the Full Moon (well, almost full - it was 99% illuminated) was taken on the 8th May 2009, using my Canon 20D attached to my ED80.

I took 136 photos @ ISO100, 1/125s exposure. All photos were stacked in Registax. The image was processed in Photoshop to reveal the different compositions of the geological formations on the Moon.

Even at 600mm, the moon didn't take up much of the field of view. I need more focal length!

Most effective Mike,

It definitely provides a most different perspective.
Maybe a 2" Powermate could be the go for a knockout image scale.

Not a bad idea, Trevor. It would make it a slow f/15, but the moon is so bright it wouldn't matter too much.

Only problem is, I don't own a 2" 2x powermate.
