The Cambroon Night for the month of June is on the 20/06/09
all are welcome:thumbsup:
Bring warm clothes as the night's are getting cooler by the day:cold::cold::cold:
Also Peter (pmrid) has an open invitation to his opening of his observatory the following weekend:stargaze::astron:

I am going to have another go at opening my TenChain Hill Observatory after the previous attempt was rained out. I want to use this thread as the best possible way to extend the invitation to all Cambroon travellers and interested others to come over and make an evening's viewing/imaging out of it. If you need reminding about directions etc, let me know.

THE DATE: 27TH JUNE.
THE LOCATION: 3336 WIVENHOE-SOMERSET RD, CROSSDALE VIA SOMERSET DAM.

cheers

Peter

I hope we can get a good turn up at both events:astron::astron::stargaze:

Hi Ron,
glad to hear from you. It's been so long since I got to your place and it looks like being a bit longer. I have an small invasion of in-laws who have decided to descend on us that weekend. Domestic harmony would be the price of refusal and so I have to absent myself once again. But the following weekend has been declared sacred ground upon which none may tread without risk to life and limb.

Peter - Don't your inlaws know better than to descend upon you and new moon? Geez... talk about inconsiderate! :)

Ron.. I am unsure at this point... the 20th is ringing a bell in the back of my head regarding something im supposed to be doing... However should I be wrong, I'll be there, rugged up to high hell! :)

Alex.

As it stands, I'm still waiting for connectors and adapters before I can even use my scopes. Got a couple in hand from the US already but the lions share are still coming together in Honkers. Should be in the mail tomorrow

Imagine getting yourself a takahashi and not have the bits needed to even focus an eyepiece

Should have it all together for TenChain Hill though :D

Sorry I've been out of action for a while, but I'm determined to actually make this one. Can't stay real late, but I'm keen to catch up with everyone.

Hey, you're not wrong there Paul, who would want to cross the pair of them?

It certainly was an enjoyable night for Anna and I meeting new faces. We would also just like to thank Ron for his generous hospitality.

Here's a couple more photos from the weekend.
We have Anna and John, then a couple of Rons roo's (doesn't the one on the right look evil) then there's Ron.
It was great to meet up with both John and Anna.
Pity about the weather though.

Hi Jeanette. Nice photos. I have an explanation for the malevolent look on the beast on the right. It is obviously thoroughly Pee'd off at being called a 'roo' when it has spent it's entire life trying very hard to be a red-shouldered wallaby. You'd get the same look from Ron if you called him a Kiwi.
Anyone got a long-range forecast for next weekend?
Peter

Peter, I call them roo's for the alliterative effect.
Earlier this year they were all behaving rather amourously under the trees so I christened them "Ron's R__ting Roo's.":lol:

Of course they could be "Won's w##ting wallabies".
