Has anyone ordered adapters from steve before? What was your turn around time? I've have an order in for almost a month now and it's still in production. I had an email exchange with him a couple of weeks ago regarding another adapter. I ended up ordering that one OS and it's in the mail already. Getting a bit sick of waiting for progress even though I can't use them due to weather.

Ordered a DSI Pro M42 Adapter on 26/7/ 2008 by electronic transaction from the UK from Mogg Adapters . The item was shipped on the 29th ( 2 day turnround ) . An excellent service .
I have had similar excellent service from Jaycar for electronic bits and bobs . Surprising how quick things are back to the UK too from Australia .
I ordered from Steve Mogg as my original UK supplier/manufacturer had the item up on his website but was not able to supply ( for various reasons/excuses ) over several months .

He is still in business but of late has apparently been rushed off his feet. Always good service but yes delivery times are not the best. My last order was the 21st and I got it on the 2nd and that was an off the shelf item.
He says he is providing a service for hard to get items not in providing a next day service.

fair enough
but surely a response to email enquiries-in say a week or two weeks or even a month is not too much to expect?

My experience with Steve Mogg to put it bluntly has been dire, I ordered a DSLR focal reducer in December last year (2009) and it turned up early February this year. Unfortunately it was damaged and Steve agreed to send a replacement, at this moment in time (May 2010) I have yet to receive the replacement, for the past 3 months I have sent weekly emails to both his addresses and have not had 1 single reply.
His service is a disgrace and I will never use him again or recommend him :mad2:
Since my purchase I learned at a local star party that a couple of guys who were present had had the same problem but had given up on refunds or replacements.
Use Steve Mogg at your peril.

Yes I agree it too long but I did get it finally. I dont doubt that he can get it done but may have manufacturering quantities and can't get a batch done till has a certain amount to order. Happens a lot in my business and may not have enough cash flow to pre-order before selling.

Emailing his customers cost's nothing, goodwill cost's nothing.

I agree but just explaining the circumstances. Running a business is difficult at the best of times. I remember before my business start to support itself there was massive problems. Stress is a major problem having to juggle the business, full time work and/or full time studies. I made a lot of mistakes.
I suffered with customer relations in the first place and I not realising earlier was not the best option. I would handle things differently in the future like I am now with other ventures.

My experience with Stephen has been very good, but then again I'm within driving distance and I always drive down and pick up the item directly...
cheers, Bird
