I know this is high end but this is a real tough competitor for the FSQ which is more expensive. A little bit more aperture and a fluorite triplet which theoretically would be better corrected than a modified Petsval quadruplet (not necessarily but likely).

A bit more focal length than an FSQ but I think given its obvious Astrophysics Traveller's inspiration it will become a collector scope in the future.

When you look at TEC scopes you are looking at a parallel track to the development of Astrophysics a decade or so ago that is no longer practically available.

I see they want to charge me 385USD just to ship it to me.
I don't think I've ever drooled at the mere sketch of a telescope before...

mmm Looks tasty! $4500 is kind of pricey, but as you say, cheaper than the FSQ.. Will be good to see how they perform, although being made by TEC, I'll venture a guess at flawlessly!
