Great resource harvesting!! There's a wind farm about 35 mins drive from where I live with 15 turbines that produces enough power for about 3500 homes for a year (total farm capacity 9.9 megawatts). It's a beautiful sight to see and the sound of the turbines turning in the wind is amazing.

Not sure I'd like to live too close to them though.
But yes, they are of great technological beauty. It's hard to take your eyes off them as you drive by a wind farm.

Hiya Jeanette!

Is it the constant (when windy enough) woop woop woop background noise, the potential click happy tourists or just the visual interruption that makes you not want to live too near a wind farm or is there something more sinister that I am missing??

Actually the more I think about it yes its quite unappealing....windy spot = crap viewing and there goes the skyline!!

It's the woop woop woop that would drive me mad.
I moved to woop woop to get away from the noise.
