Hey guys, I'm not after sympathy votes! Just passing comment. It's been so cloudy here this month I really haven't had a chance to take a reasonable shot for this comp so this pic came out of the archives. I know the highlights are clipped in it so I wasn't expecting too much... but I keep checking just the same!

Congratulations Andrew (astro_south) on a stunning photograph – a deserving winner. In the end, a very close race with Andrew (RB) – another top shot too!

Well done to all who submitted their entries, it was a pleasure seeing each and everyone, irrespective of how many votes they polled.

Congratulations Andrew !!

A well deserved win, what a great shot it was too.

It was a great competition all-round this month with a fantastic roundup of entries.

Some of my favourites included Dennis' knife edge, Houghy's, Ron's and Mike's sunsets, Roger's cave shot, Phil's waterfall and Troy's plane shot.

Too many to choose from this month but I throughly enjoyed all of them.

Well done.

I agree Steve, it was great to see a macro shot posted amongst the entries, especially considering the subject.

Congrats Andrew!
Ok so what's the new subject? :D
Itching to use my DSLR, just waiting on a Baader filter to arrive and then I'll get my focus back, will throw the point-n-shoot in the cupboard to gather dust!

Great shot Andrew, one of my votes as well. Just too many to choose from... and here I was hoping that there might be 3 or 4 entries this month and I would have a shot ;).

At least I got a few votes .

Thanks for the comments and votes all.

You had my vote RB with a great execution of the subject, infact it was great to see so many entries, so well done everyone

On the subject of subjects :) , this has really tested my tired brain on a Friday night - particularly after the great choice from Stephen last month that has probably lead to the great response. I was tempted to say close up & macro, but have decided this month's subject should be .....

CURVES

....that should get you all thinking

Thank you Andrew and Steve for those nice words, and to everyone who saw enough merit in the photo to give it one of their precious votes – it certainly was a difficult month for choices!

I was a little hesitant in entering this one; even though it was captured in May, it was based on a similar shot I had entered in a previous challenge. In the end, I couldn’t come up a new theme, so voilą!

Cheers

I have to admit, I didn't vote for you Dennis because I thought it was the same shot.... after voting I went back through all the previous challenges until I found it and.... oops, it was different.
Sorry

Hi Simon

No apologies required – how each person allocates their vote is quite personal and that is good as it ensures a good spread of voting.

I tend to rely on the stimulus of the challenge to get me out and about with the camera, but in this instance, the SE Qld weather forced me indoors so I just re-hashed an old idea! Different knife and date but same concept.

Cheers

Dennis
