The Tail of Scorpius in widefield

7x60s subs unguided stacked and processed in DSS with Darks and flats. Canon EOS 400D with 50mm f1.8 lanes at f4.0, ISO 400, piggybacked on EQ2 mount.

Pointed the setup at the stinger of Scorpius, just to see what I would end up capturing, played around a fair bit with levels and curves in PS Elements.

Am slowly getting the hang of the concepts, even if the results are only OK at best.

Not sure where the colour has gone though - your image is mostly browns?

I am having a bit of trouble working out a workflow for adjusting these widefield shots in PS Elements, as it does thing a bit differently to the CS versions, and all the tutes I can find assume the use of CS. I have had another go hope this is a bit better!

Can you post some of your raw/unprocessed frames?

Are you capturing in RAW or jpeg?
