These are some pics taken with the 127mm (5") surplus shed achromat lens fitted in a Saxon tube.
Fl is 1200mm but i have a 0.8 reducer/flattner in my Canon 40D.

First image is M83, 3x15minute, darks and flats applied.
Second image is Centaurus A 4x15minutes, darks and flats applied.
Third image is Omega centauri 13x2minutes, darks and flats applied.
The Lagoon was good but it was impossible to get rid of the blue halo's.

The scope works good on galaxies and clusters, with nebuleas it is harder to get rid of the blue halo's properly.

Here a pic of the setup and a closeup of the gso focuser fitting.

Nice shots Martin. I have the 102 and noticed the same problem. Looking at fitting a Baader Fringe Killer before I try it out again.

Thank you Trevor and Bill.

Bill i think that a -v filter be better or one of those filters that make it semi apo (cant remember who sells them :( ).

Now doing some pics at 2400mm .

Great Omega Centauri! Also noticed how pink your M83 was. Mmmm..... maybe mine isn't so bad and might reprocess it.
Cheers and clears.
