What is the exacted ratio between new equipment purchased and the amount of bad weather one receives? I have spent pretty big with the purchase of the Lumenera LU075C camera, 80mm ED and a 5x Powermate (all up about $2400). In total this has
given me at least 14 weeks of cloud, rain and poor seeing due to the jetstream:ashamed: .

I suspect optics give worse conditions than accessories and that the more expensive the worse the weather.

Ah Dave, the picture is changing methink; shoulda posted an image and not a link.
Our North Island associates will not have the true picture of the horrendous jetstream that was menacing our skies but is (for) now moving north and as time goes on this thread will make little or no sense (although that's normal around here)...

It was worse than that two weeks ago, It was in the Red and yellow. It will improve soon I hope, just in time for opposition. That way I can so some more imaging.
