The images look very promising.

An interesting scope. At max resolution the images show some field rotation, which isn't the fault of the optics, as well as some either astigmatism or coma. It is a very small amount, though.
I'm mostly interested in the dual mirror locks. Those should hold the mirror in place very well indeed.
I'm not too concerned that I just ordered a 12" LX200-ACF, though, as it will possibly take a year or so to work the bugs out of the new product. By then Celestron import should be flowing more smoothly and these will likely be available here for a fairly competitive price.

From an Australian perspective price wise the Meade OTA's seem to be better value, however if i am not mistaken they are heavier.
Interesting.
It'd be great if these scopes included higher quality optics and active cooling.
Sure...they'd be a little more expensive...but I'd be happy to pay the extra.:)

I'm amazed to see it take so long for them to include filtered tube vents. It would be simple to rig up a fan on the rear cell to extract air from the tube for faster cooling if needed.
EDIT: hmmm, forgot about the extra lens in the baffle tube.

I'm guessing that the vents in the tube are because of the sealed baffle. It would probably take forever to cool otherwise.
