Camera- Canon 20d
Lens - Canon nifty fifty
ICNR on
Mount - Mini Tower
Carina 6 x 1min at ISO 800
Galactic Centre 12 x 1min at ISO 800
Processing - Deep Sky Stacker, Paint Shop Pro and CS3.
Might cut the exposures down to 45 seconds next time to see if that will keep the field rotation to a minimum.
Nice FOV's JJJ. Data looks quite heavily stretched resulting in washout of the midtones. Not sure if you'll get the data back so it maybe easier to simply do a repro on them. More data would certainly assist.
Black point is too high (Figure 1), drop it with levels but you'll probably find the contrast differences become overwhelming. Alternatively, you can try a three point curve (Figure 2) which attempts to address the issue - in a poor manner I should add. The application on the original data would be better.
Keep at it.
Really nice JJJ - love to see these.
I shudder to think how good you're pics will be when/if you get EQ tracking going...!

Thanks for that Jase. I'll do the repro soon.
Rob, I'm still in the infatuation phase with the MT so the eq5 sits in the shed with the Cube to keep it company.
Reckon I owe it to iOptron to see how far I can push the MT anyway.
:thumbsup: nice jjj youve been a busy girl lately :) keep em coming
I think you should ask for a cut of the profits! - there's going to be more sales if you keep posting pics of this quality. ;)
