I have been imaging the Moon for about 18 Months now and still need one more phase ( waxing Crescent 40 % ).

Great series. Have you tried making a movie from the images?

I had thought to try and make a Gif or something but I think the Libration would be too evident in some of the phases. The images were taken in some cases 8 or 9 mths apart.

It would be hard going too as some of the images are positioned very differently to the others on each image taken.

Maybe if I had more time on my hands I could give it a go.

Funny you should say that about the "barred spiral look".
after I set the images in place and then stood back from it to have a better look, it certainly looked like a barred spiral.

I thought of changing it due to that fact, but decided to leave it as is.
