Taken May 21st on a surprisingly clear night last week.
101 subs for a total of 31 minutes 47 seconds exposure time.
I used my Mini Tower, SW ED80 and Canon 20d.

The 3rd image is the repro trying to address the clipping.

Guiding looks good Jeanette, and colours are good too, but you image looks clipped to me. You might like to try using shadows and highlights in CS (if you have it) to raise your black point out.

Nice one JJJ. Guiding nirvana equals pin point stars. 3rd pic gets my vote. Well done and keep them coming.

keep them coming jjj, the third is the pick of the bunch,

just a processing note. its important to note that once you have clipped an object, that clipped data is gone forever from that image unless you go back prior to that action. no amount of extra processing can bring it back.

So if you do clip, its worth going back to a pre clip point and continuing from there.

clive.

Thanks for the help. I should adjust the monitor settings on my lappy as my pics always turn out darker on the desktop.
I went back to the original .tif to do the repro.

Nice Jeanette. I too get the feeling there might have been a bit more data that's been clipped, but heck - its a beauty!
