What are you guys using to piggy back a scope on a VC200L?

Using a side-by-side bar here Tandum with ED80; be interested though in piggyback setup also though.

I'm not, don't own one now, but tube rings would be my preference.
I have both and by far and away prefer the rings, as the "weight saving" of a side by side is far outweighed by the actual weight of the SBS.

Hi Robin, I am using a set of tube rings from Peter Lee HKong. Work very well but not cheap.

I did use tube rings but now use a side by side mount made by starstuff.
The side by side saves significant weight. I was able to take 2 kg of the counterweight bar as a result of moving the weight closer to the mount with the side by side.
Admittedly the second scope is reasonably heavy- a 127mm triplet refractor.

Gary, What fits? I read some where that a rail for a 10" meade bolts straight on?

Robin,
to me the way to do what I think you are wanting to do, is to get some good rings, and a top and bottom plate.
In the case of the bottom plate, within reason anything will fit to anything.
On top, it depends what you are looking to do. Some want a male to male Losmandy rail, and in my case I simply want somewhere that I can screw/bolt the guide-scope to. E mail me if you want, I can shoot some piccies.

I was thinking of dropping some weight, namely the SBS bar, and mounting the TAK on top of the Vixen with a rail and ring set for the tak. Seems to be a hassle mounting a single tak clamshell on a vixen dovetail system and I wasn't planning on buying a 2nd clamshell. There are mounting points on the vixen for a rail and an ADM rail and ring kit should work. I guess I should measure it and ring around :D
