Hi All.
Had a about a 4 hour window of cloudless skies last night.
Was set up pre dusk, itching to get to terms with eq align and drift aligning.
Couldn't believe it I was sitting there until 8.30 before I was reasonable happy with no east or meridian drift for 5 minutes.
Everything seemed to be going well and then just lost the star as I was adjusting altitude. Not sure what I did, but started over.
Ended up reasonably happy, also got carried away and took some AVI's of saturn which I'll post in another thread.
Images are Eta Carina: 8 x 2 minutes exposure, iso 1600, ICNR Off, 1000D through ed 80 on eq 6 pro, nil guiding. Processed in Deep Sky Stacker, RGB align, Levels and crop in Gimp.
Omega Centauri: 4 x 2 minutes exposure, iso 1600, ICNR Off, 1000D through ed 80 on eq 6 pro, nil guiding. Processed in Deep Sky Stacker, RGB align, Levels and crop in CS3.
It was also my first attempt at flats, which I think I need to do better than what I achieved last night!
Comments / advice welcomed!
