I was filming stars on the crux and a blury one came up. Its not the focus because all the others are clear.

Hi,
The first one could be the blue planetary near Crux. I just cant tell with the image scale as it is.
The last one looks like Acrux to me.
Someone else may know if I am wrong..

Hi Stephen,

To have any idea at all when trying to identify something you need co-ordinates. If you have an atlas or ephemeris or even print out charts from some of the many available sources on the net.

When you want to image something star hop to the object so there is at least one star in your image that you have the RA and Dec for from your chart, then you will be able to identify any fuzzies in the field that you image.
