I would like to know,

1, recommend a dealer.

2, The price on a value for money netherless quality Crayford.

3, Ease of fitting the Crayford (Im not too good with my hands).

4, Any thing else you can tell me.

The GSO crayford will fit your dob , no new holes required. Its certainly the easiest and cheapest solution and I havent heard any complaints about them.

It'll cost you approx $150 and take about 10 minutes to fit :)

Andrews in Sydney sell them. I got mine from dba in the US before they were available here.

I bought a moonlite CR2, one of the best around. I got it second hand for $200 which is a bargain, they normally sell new for probably around $350-$400 and you'll have to bring it into Australia yourself.

But it's worth it for me, the dual rate focuser is superb - the fine focus knob has an 8:1 ratio and means you can turn in tiny increments to get the sharpest focus.

I've also got it setup with a homemade motor (thanks Rajah!) so it can be turned with a handheld unit, which I use for imaging.

You can read and see about my moonlite, here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/?moonlite) and the motorised mod here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=2116).

Whatever you get, the crayford is a huge improvement over the standard R&P.
