Hi
This was taken on the 9-5-09 at 5-56am and without a doubt is my best effort so far. This looks a lot different from my laptop to my desktop CRT monitor advice welcomed.

Well done, lots of good detail present. The extreme darkness may be caused by reducing the gamma too far when capturing.... you might experiment with different gamma settings and see which ones give the best results.

Great detail present but it looks a little over processed. Looks to be good data for sure. Perhaps give it another reprocess.

Excellent result Troy, agree about the processing. Some good data there and could be a fabulous image with a bit of love.

What Scope and camera?
Capture settings?

Hi Troy,

Definitely some possibilities there, looks very promising and you have been given some great advice from some of the best in the business.
Stick with it.

I got an idea from Rob K at SCP my everbrite laptop screen is to bright and is no good for processing. Jupiter changes depending on the angle your looking at so I calibrated my desktop monitor and will do future processing on it. I'm using a 235mm SCT scope and a Skynyx 2-0 camera with Astronomiks Type 2 RGB filters. This is from the same data but with alot more love given

Thanking Everone for there input
Rr yeah my girlfriend likes picture a I'm leaning towards B slightly let me know what you think

B is a better than the one on the left. Maybe just reduce the midtones a little to somewhere around .93 and that should look pretty nice.

Same data done slightly different less gamma and other midtone reduce to .93

Hi Troy,

Massive difference in the final image, regarding your processing, from the first image you posted in this thread.

Very nice work.
