Tripod wanted - see text

Was after a tripod to suit a Vixen Sphinx SXW. Vixen's models are the HAL-110 or HAL-130 tripod. But it looks like a number of manufacturers produce compatible mounts (see following post).

I have recently acquired a Vixen SXW and found it will also fit on top of the generic stainless steel tripod sold with the Orion SkyView AZ Mount or Meade LXD75 EQ Mount (Bintel), or the William Optics Ezy-Touch (Andrews). Pretty sure its the same tripod interface as for EQ5/EQ6 also.

Very good to know! Its for a SXW mount and I'm trying to source a good tripod (but the new price is a bit excessive).

an APWT (Baader/AP) any good, or is it a bit excessive as well?
It is sitting unused, and while it will cost a fortune to ship, it will be more sturdy than you ever imagined.
Haven't gotten as far as a price, but try the new price from AP and if you are still standing PM me.
