Very nice image. Somewhat unusual colouring but a very nice eye catching image. A bit more data might bring out more of the periferal nebulosity. the reduction of the number of stars and the size of the stars makes the image almost appear to be a narrow band image.

Very nicely done. Look forward to seeing some more like this.

Interesting colours, the purists will say it's not supposed to be green, but it is your image.

One thing though, ditch the (obviously) fake diffraction spikes. You have an SCT, unless you've been scrubbing the corrector with Ajax it shouldn't have them. Personally I think they detract from the image.

30 secs at iso 3200 and a 40d unmodded you should be very happy with that shot.

Very nice, I agree with Stuart, the diffraction spikes do detract a little from the image, If you want to add diffraction spikes to your SCT's images, You can make a diffraction spike mask for your scope which basically consists of a little bit of ply wood and a meter or so of fishing line. You make a ring that will slip over the front aperture of your scope, put 4 small tec screws in, every 90° around the circumference. Run the fishing line across the diameter of mask, make sure its relatively tight and tie it to the screws making a cross. This will give you nice, thin diffraction spikes that will look a lot more natural and uniform than the ones added by photoshop... I must say I'm a big fan of diffraction spikes, I think look awesome, however the photoshop version of diffraction spikes are a little unimpressive..

Otherwise this is a very nice image, and I definitely look forward to seeing more of your images!

Alex.
