Nice one trick - good to see another widefield imager on the forum.
Omega Cent's nicely visible climbing out of the treetops there!
Keep em coming!

I just love the wide field stuff and it lets me learn the capabilities of the 1000D. Focusing on the live view through the EOS utility I am finding dificult. But all comes to those who practice. I have a refractor and a reflector but just want to nail the wide field first. :camera:

Agreed - on my 40D (not sure if 1000D is the same) I can zoom in on stars via the DSLR LCD screen up to 10x to focus with LiveView - makes life very easy!!!
The Eos Utility software is useful but nowhere near as useful as the on camera facilities.
Keep practicising - it makes you-know-what!!:P
