View Full Version here: : WO FLT110 nice scope but 1 Q
Ok I decided on my new and first refractor, I went for the FLT110 nice scope APO good for imaging nice clear views as I have just witnessed for myself.
Only question is, well how do I keep the dew shield up, it slides straight back down as soon as there is a little bit of vertical incline, obvious solution is a piece of tape or is there something obvious I missed?

as much as a WO scope costs the dew shield should work -on my WO66 it always worked great
ok got it worked out, the foam bit that stops it from sliding was a little flat.
next question.
I'm going to be getting a dew heater for imaging and would like to know the most successful way to use one of these, do I attach it around the dew shield near the lens or on the OTA nearest to the lens?.

I wrap my heater strap around the dew shield, about where the lens is.

Yep, around the base of the dew shield.. You will definitely need a heater if your area is prone to dew...110mm of glass will definitely collect dew.. :)
yeah, thats about where I thought, here the dew is very bad, I collect dew just by sitting out there.
