Is there an easy way to find which IceInSpace member is the closest to me?

At the moment, not with any great resolution. You can use the IceInSpace Member Map (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/plot/) but with so many members now, it's hard to find ones near you if you live in a busy part of Australia :)

The next iteration of the IceMap tool will be zoomable using Google Maps technology, but Terry sees it as a low priority feature but I think it would be a cool addition :)

We'll get there one day.

So the only other option is to start a thread and ask: "Any members live near XXX" ?

Also get along to local astro society meetings and you'll likely find members near you.

I know of a few in Melbourne, ;) but it is probably best I don't disclose there wherabouts to protect their privicy
