These I took on last Saturday evening. Seeing was quite good and I had just collimated my scope (the best I have done it so far.).

These shots are taken with a Canon compact digital IXUS 870 IS and are hand held with flash to prevent overexposure.

The first shot is great
I was doing some vids and photo shots on the same spot too.

I was taking some very basic ones last night, in Melbourne's fickle weather.
Dam perfectly clear one moment, massive dew and clouds the next, then all clear again an hour later.

Anyway, I think I was about a day too late to get the perfect shadows of Mons Apennines. Just so fascinated around the Apollo 15 landing site.
Your pic was perfect of the shadows. :D

Here's a vid I took. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKbWjdkf_H4

Nice detail across the three images there.
Well done.

Sweet! Looks like that was about a day after the Lunar X illumination northwest of Werner. Good Job.

All great images, Wade! I love the perspective of the first, but the sharpness of the 3rd. I just wish the 3rd one wasn't overexposed. Great stuff!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Even though its a small camera its always fun to see what results may be gained.

Love number 3.
These little cameras do a great job don't they.
If you have a video function, you should grab some avi's of Saturn and Jupiter through a barlowed 12mm. Put them through Registax and I bet you'll be surprised at how well the final image will come out.
