Hey,
does anyone know whether the east coast will get a good view of the Eta Aquarid shower on the morning of May 6th, or will the peak have passed before or after. I've heard the southern hemisphere expects around 70 meteors per hour. The source of the shower is also visible before sunrise, any comments anyone?
Thanks!

The eta Aquarids will be good for several nights, not just one, so any night from the 2nd to the 8th will give you a good show. Viewing from 2am onwards, when the radiant is above the horizon will do it. From memory (its been a few years since I watched them) 4am on, as the radiant gets a bit higher is a good time, so have a nice sleep and set the alarm for a bit earlier than usual and you'll still get to see the action.
