These two images Jan, are beautiful!
I love the wide field images that nice lenses can put out, this one you have ain't too bad for 50 bucks.... it shows a bit of an artifact on brighter stars, but hell, pumping out images like this one of Crux.... who cares!

Lovely rendition of M20. You have your colours spot on and a lovely even, well balanced background.

Very successful Barambah expedition.
Top work!

All the best
Rich

Nice work, Jeanette!

Shows just how star dense it is around Crux.
And as Ron mentioned, more stars than you'd think in the Coal Sack.
Also, nice capture of Running Chicken Nebula (IC 2948) right of top centre.

Great contrast with Trifid Nebula.

I really lik the Crux widefield jjjnettie fo many obvious reasons. They are all in the image and the excecution. Well done! You must have had very dark skies to capture that lovely colour and detail.

Very nice Jeanette:)

I've yet to attempt a widefield...but your images are an inspiration.

How critical is ploar alignment with exposures of only a minute in length?

jjjnettie
12-05-2009, 06:13 PM
Matt,
That's the beauty of such a wide field, your polar alignment doesn't have to be pedantic. I used an alt azi mount so I'm up against field rotation as well. One minute is the max I can use.
