located in Scorpio, so many targets to choose from, picked this as it was the first target i shot with the qhy8, a year later its still shooting well, the little issue i had the other day seems to have disapeared so i guess i need to make sure the diffraction spikes are not in exactly the same plane as the Bayer array.
the image is cropped for asthetic purposes, 12 inch newt about 3 hrs exposure.
slipping back into the saddle after the extended fire season cut down the imaging.
thanks for looking

Very nice Clive. The filaments in the left pad have come out beautifully sharp and the detail over the whole image is great.

Nice image Clive. As Doug says the detail in the left pad is impressive.

Very nice Clive ... as everyone has commented the detail in the left pad is great ... it reminds me of the honeycomb look of M1.

thanks for looking, frank
hopefully once my new rings turn up i will be able to stop the slight flexure in the system ( sars are somewhat oblate if you look closely)
doug, peter and bluescope, glad you like the detail... if i had a mono camera like some of you do i reckon its worth a nice contrasty Ha on the left paw.
trevor the faint stuff is more than you expect, if i can up my subs it will improve.
