I have a good LX200GPS Mak that is currently pier-mounted on a wedge but because I want to go into more wide-field deep space photography, this sort of scope isn't the rigt one for that job. So, it can go and I'll put a good strong GEM on the pier and go from there. An EQ6Pro with Synscaan goes for about $2K new (Andrews) and a new 7" Meade GPS Mak (if you can find one) is worth about $3000 or thereabouts (including wedge, tripod and focuser). So I'll happily look at a swap with an EQ6Pro and a mid-size reflector to put on it.
