Hi friends,

I was very interested in the thread of alan meehan (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=44222&page=2).
I love the Antares region, I think it is the most colorful region in the whole sky.
So I did my 2nd trying to catch it. I am from Europe and the Scorpion is very close to the horizon. I could make 8 pics with the Canon EF 200 LII and 350d. I used ISO 800 and f/4. Location: My balcony.

I had to finish the session abruptly... I hate clouds!

But I will try it again and go to my observation place in the mountains.
The best things come in threes. ;)

cheers

not too sure about the colours in that as the neb around antares should be yellowish, focus looks good and M4 is nicely resolved. How many shots did you get to process Werner? When i look at most of the shots in this area they are logging up several hours to get that rainbow of colours - something i hope to get later this year and spend a few hours on it. have another go at reprocessing it, i am sure they are there

Looks very nice. I kind of like the red tinge to it. Makes things stick out a bit more at the top against the blues.

Your are right. I think I tried too much with the colors.
Now I did a new trial. Very defensive, without raising the colors.

What do you think about this result?

I forgot to tell the exposure time: 8x400s, ISO 800

I would be very thankful for your opinions.

the dust lanes look fantastic, more natural looking Werner, though it is missing some of the RED nebulae it looks good.
